• 10m Air Rifle: July 27 - August 1, 2024
• 50m Rifle 3 Positions: August 2 - August 6, 2024
• 50m Rifle Prone: August 7 - August 11, 2024

Overview

The Rifle Events in the Olympics consist of three disciplines, each requiring precision and control. Competitors use a .22 caliber rifle for all events:

• 10m Air Rifle: Competitors shoot from a distance of 10 meters, aiming at a bullseye target with a maximum possible score of 600 points. The top eight shooters advance to the final for additional shots.
• 50m Rifle 3 Positions: Competitors shoot from three positions - prone, standing, and kneeling - with a total of 120 shots. The top eight shooters advance to the final for additional shots in each position.
• 50m Rifle Prone: Competitors shoot from a prone position at a distance of 50 meters, with 60 shots. The top eight shooters advance to the final for additional shots.
